To help minimize costs, provide a reasonable return on your investment, and help be good stewards to the environment, we attempt to get as much use out of every system here at Olympic Rental as possible. We call this “Managing to Failure”. This means we will replace systems once we can no longer get any use out of them. You often hear of HVAC (heating, ventilation, and air conditioning), electrical, and plumbing systems, but you may not commonly think of something like paint, fencing, insulation, door locks, window screens, smoke alarms, or appliances as systems. We manage all of these types of systems. Each of these items has an important part in the livability of a property, and each has a definitive lifespan (see “Maintenance & Facts Trends” Blog!!). Once a system violates safety or it outlives its aesthetic expectations, then action is taken to repair or replace the system.
