Deb enjoys nature and astrophotography, crafts, and traveling the world.
Deb unofficially retired from a career in software consulting in 2016, sold everything, bought an RV, and hit the open road. After several years and many, many miles throughout the US, Canada, and Mexico, she returned to Olympia to care for aging parents. After helping during a busy summer season at Olympic Rentals in 2019, she has returned to provide administrative support between duties in caring for the folks and getting them to their doctor appointments on time.
Deb grew up in the Olympia area, then moved to Seattle shortly after high school. There she worked for a large retail automotive company where she acted as a floating retail store manager, and fraud prevention analyst for the Puget Sound region. Deb then worked for an international design and manufacturing company where for 15 years she held a variety of positions including office manager, production coordinator where she managed production schedules and international shipping for 7 factories in South Korea and China, and systems analyst where she travelled around the world implementing ERP and EDI systems and training employees on accounting practices and inventory management. She then went on to work as a software consultant implementing and providing end user support for ERP systems. This led her to a partnering with Microsoft and starting up her own consulting company. While Deb has now left the IT world behind, she does bring some wicked Excel skills to the team!
