Sara Black
COO / Property Manager / Managing Broker
Sara enjoys cooking, gardening, and camping with her dog, Margo.
Sara joined Olympic Rentals in 2015 with a background in restaurant management after being identified by Todd, the company founder, as someone with the people skills needed in our industry. Her experience in the service industry instilled a strong work ethic and a “whatever-it-takes” mindset that continues to guide her work today.
A decade later, Sara now oversees the day-to-day operations at Olympic Rentals. She thrives on helping the team problem solve and navigate the unique challenges of the industry with efficiency and care.
Sara loves property management because it allows her to help people and build meaningful relationships. She says her greatest reward is when she hears that she has helped to relieve the stress from our clients – giving them freedom to focus on what matters most in their lives!
A proud local investor, Sara owns an investment property and plans to continue building her portfolio. She believes that local investment in our community is essential to fostering long-term prosperity, and she’s honored to play a part in that effort.
Sara is a graduate of Leadership Thurston County, Class of 2024. From 2017 to 2023, she served on the board of the Southwest Washington Chapter of the National Association of Residential Property Managers (NARPM), holding roles including Secretary, President-Elect, and President. She currently serves as the Membership Mentor for the SW WA Chapter and is an Ambassador for the Northwest Region of NARPM, supporting chapters across neighboring states.

Sara enjoys spending time with her son, cooking for friends and loves to sing and play guitar.
Sara joined Olympic Rentals in 2015 with a background in restaurant management after having been identified by Todd, the company owner, as someone with the people skills needed in our industry. She entered a rapid training program with Olympic Rentals, quickly earned her real estate license and became an integral part of the company. Sara has also become our default in-house IT person. Sara is a rental property owner herself – she owns a classic 1935 home on the Eastside of Olympia, which she purchased as an owner-occupied property and lived in for two years (to take advantage of great interest rates!) before purchasing and moving into her second property.
Sara is currently the President of the Southwest Washington Chapter of the National Association of Residential Property Managers (NARPM) and has served as the Secretary and President-Elect. She is a RMP (Residential Management Professional) candidate with NARPM and has attended NARPM Leadership Training. Sara often makes our team jealous of her homemade lunches, and we refer to her as “Martha” when we gather in our lunchroom.
