In 1985 Sandy began her independent bookkeeping business, primarily with clients in the construction industry quickly expanding to handle clients in just about every field. She relocated to the PNW from Sunny California in 2007. She now handles accounting services for several medium sized companies in our region including Olympia Rentals since 2016. Sandy notes that she loves the business because “it never gets old, there is always something new to learn and to teach. It is exciting to meet with clients and work with them in their business.” Sandy’s other passion in life lies with the dogs. She is a Co-Founder/Director of Purple Heart Rescue based in Lewis County. This non-profit helps to rescue, rehabilitate and rehome abandoned, forgotten, neglected and abused dogs. They now offer community outreach programs, educating others on the proper care and treatment of dogs (and all domesticated animals). “ There is so much joy received when looking into the eyes of a rescued dog and they in return give so much unconditional love.” If you love dogs, you should ask about their annual calendar, featuring rescued dogs – their photos truly tell stories of tough lives, yet future hope.
